Resume
Recent years have been characterized by an increase in the frequency of detection of myocarditis in pregnant women after COVID-19 during gestation, which can lead to complications during pregnancy. To determine the characteristics of the course of gestation and childbirth in pregnant women with COVID-19 associated myocarditis, we conducted prospective studies of 145 pregnant women with myocarditis, who were divided: 75 pregnant women who had COVID-19, 46 pregnant women with chronic focal myocarditis, and 24 healthy pregnant women with similar terms of gestation. Immunological studies were carried out to determine the total number of leukocytes and lymphocytes. Conclusions. The clinical picture of COVID-19 associated myocarditis develops mainly 3-4 weeks after COVID-19. Changes in the general immune status in pregnant women of groups 1 and 2 were characterized by an increase in B-lymphocytes by 3 or more times, the level of 3% CEC was 4.8 times higher in patients of group 1 than in group 2 (OR = 4.9, P < 0.001), an increase in the pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-6 in the first group is a characteristic sign of the inflammatory process in the myocardium in COVID-19 associated myocarditis.
Key words: myocarditis in pregnant women, COVID-19 and pregnancy, cytokines, immunoglobulins.
