Resume

COVID-19 presents significant risks to pregnant women, and this study explores the potential complications associated with the infection during late pregnancy and the postpartum period. Key complications identified include preeclampsia, eclampsia, premature birth, thromboembolism, postpartum infections, and an increased risk of hemorrhage. Additionally, postpartum depression and other psychological issues are highlighted. The study underscores the critical need for specialized medical care and close monitoring for both pregnant and postpartum women. Emphasizing vaccination and maintaining a healthy lifestyle are crucial strategies for mitigating these risks.
