Resume

The article also discusses biomarkers of inflammation in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and atrial fibrillation (AF). It was found that age, hypertension, chronic heart failure and COPD stage are significant risk factors for the development of AF. Coagulation and inflammatory biomarkers were significantly higher in patients with COPD and AF, indicating systemic inflammation and the risk of thrombosis
