Resume

The study is devoted to the study of immunological parameters of children with latent tuberculosis infection (n=122) living in foci of household tuberculosis, upon admission and in dynamics, after 12-24 months. After the end of this period, the presence of active forms of tuberculosis was found in 40 (32.8%) children, they made up the first group of the examination, in 80 children (65.5%) LT did not develop into active tuberculosis, therefore they were assigned to the second group of the examination. In the I group of children, there was an increase in papule size of Diaskintest after 12-24 months, compared with the results of the test performed upon admission to the tuberculosis dispensary. In the II group of children, there was a tendency to decrease the size of the papule as a result of preventive chemotherapy and 12-24 months after its completion. When studying the level of interleukin status in I group of children, there was initially a significant increase in IL-2 levels compared with group II. Interferon status (INF-γ) was decreased (p<0.0001). The INF-γ/IL-2 ratios in both groups were statistically different from each other (66.55±0.25 in I group, 88.58±0.08 in II group). Thus, in a child with latent tuberculosis infection living in the focus of household tuberculosis infection, the tendency to increase cytokine concentration (IL-2) and decrease cytokine concentration (IL-4, IFN-γ) may act as a modifying factor in the implementation of latent tuberculosis infection into active forms of tuberculosis.

Key words: children, latent tuberculosis infection, interleukins, interferons, focus of household tuberculosis
