Resume
The article presents the results of a study on the long-term outcomes of surgical treatment of posterior urethral valves (PUV) in children. Based on an analysis of data from 78 patients treated between 2016 and 2022, the effectiveness of various surgical methods, including primary valve ablation and vesicostomy, was evaluated. It was found that vesicostomy provides more reliable restoration of renal function in children with severe impairments. Primary valve ablation was identified as the preferred method, but its effectiveness is limited in cases of significant urinary system dysfunction. The study highlights the importance of early diagnosis and appropriate selection of surgical treatment methods to prevent chronic kidney disease. The findings emphasize the need for further research to optimize treatment strategies for PUV.
Keywords: posterior urethral valve (PUV), children, urinary tract obstruction, vesicostomy, primary valve ablation, chronic kidney disease (CKD), early diagnosis, long-term outcomes.
