EFFECTS OF EYE APPLICATORS BASED ON LOCAL MEDICINAL PLANTS AND ALTERNATIVE THERAPY IN REFRACTIVE DISORDERS

Resume

In modern ophthalmology, various methods are used to improve eye health and functionality. Conditions such as accommodative spasm, mild myopia, and mild astigmatism significantly affect visual quality and daily activities. Traditional treatment methods include physiotherapy, eye gymnastics, and the use of eye applicators with plant-based medicinal preparations of domestic origin, which provide additional therapeutic effects. Alternative treatment focuses on physiotherapy and eye gymnastics, aiming to restore visual function and improve eye mobility. The aim of this study was to assess the effectiveness of traditional and alternative treatment methods for these conditions. Patients with accommodative spasm, mild myopia, and mild astigmatism were treated using physiotherapy, eye gymnastics, and applicators with plant-based medicinal preparations. The results showed significant improvements in eye mobility and visual acuity, contributing to better daily activity and quality of life. Both methods proved effective, with the use of plant-based medicinal preparations showing the best results in improving the functionality of the visual system. The findings may serve as the basis for the development of recommendations and practical approaches to the treatment of ophthalmological diseases.
