Resume

The review examines the main early complications of laparoscopic gastric sleeve resection in obese patients. The classifications of complications by time of occurrence and severity are given, and the most common problems are discussed: failure of staple sutures, bleeding, stenosis, acute pancreatitis, hypoglycemia, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. The methods of prevention and treatment of these complications are noted.

Keywords: morbid obesity; bariatric surgery; laparoscopic sleeve resection of the stomach; complications; Clavien-Dindo classification.
