Resume

Azoospermia (from the Greek. — absence of semen) is a pathological condition in which there are no semen in the ejaculate. Azoospermia is one of the causes of male infertility. Azoospermia is determined by analyzing the ejaculate (spermogram). There is a distinction between non-obstructive (secretory) azoospermia, in which semen do not form in the testicles, and obstructive (excretory) azoospermia, in which semen do not enter the ejaculate due to obstruction of the vas deferens. Combined azoospermia is also possible, associated simultaneously with testicular hypofunction and impaired patency of the vas deferens. Obstructive azoospermia (excretory infertility) is significantly better treatable.

Key words: noobstructive azoospermia; obstructive azoospermia; spermogram.
