MORPHOLOGICAL CHANGES IN KIDNEY TISSUE IN ULCERATIVE COLITIS

Kaimanova K.I. - Bukhara State Medical Institute named after Abu Ali ibn Sina

Resume

In recent years, there has been growing interest from both practicing physicians and researchers in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), including their extraintestinal manifestations. The spectrum of extraintestinal manifestations of IBD is quite broad. These may include kidney damage with the incidence of chronic kidney disease and renal failure estimated at 2–15%. Morphological analysis of kidney tissue from 9-month-old white outbred rats with ulcerative colitis in the experiment revealed edema in the renal glomerular capillaries, mesangial proliferation, necrosis in the epitheliocytes of the proximal and distal convoluted tubules, destruction of the tubules, and edema in the renal parenchyma. Morphological changes in the kidneys in ulcerative colitis may be associated with a number of factors, including autoimmune reactions and inflammation
