This article explores modern aspects of the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of bronchial asthma (BA), with a focus on the assessment of adipokines (leptin, adiponectin) and immunological biomarkers (IgE, IL-4, IL-5, IL-13). The review includes data from scientific literature, clinical studies, as well as recommendations from GINA and national protocols. An analysis of BA phenotypes is provided; principles of stepwise therapy are discussed, along with emerging classes of drugs (anti-IgE, anti-IL-5). The significance of metabolic and immune dysregulation in the development of severe forms of BA is emphasized
