This article presents literature data and the author's personal data on chronic cholecystitis and chronic pancreatitis, which have become widespread in the last decade. The prevalence, etiopathogenesis, clinical manifestations and correlation with diagnostic tests of these diseases are described. The increase in the incidence of complications of these diseases in the last decade is indicated and supplemented with personal data
