Resume

Adiponectin is a hormone secreted by adipose tissue that exhibits strong anti-inflammatory, insulin-sensitizing, and anti-atherogenic effects. This article reviews the mechanisms by which adiponectin participates in inflammatory processes, with a focus on its role in chronic kidney disease (CKD) and bronchial asthma. Particular attention is paid to the paradoxical changes in adiponectin levels across different pathologies, the influence of obesity, and the therapeutic potential of adiponectin modulation. Tables and graphs illustrating adiponectin levels in various clinical conditions are included

Keywords: adiponectin, inflammation, chronic kidney disease, bronchial asthma, obesity, cytokines, therapy
