Resume

Results of parasitological examination of 180 Pityriasis alba (PА) patients. Prevalence of intestinal parasites in PA patients was much higher than in the control group and patients with vitiligo and Pityriasis versicolor (P<0.001). Clinical efficiency of antiparasitic drugs in PA patients has been demonstrated: complete disappearance of hypopigmentation patches, reduction of hypopigmentation intensity, their size or./and amount. , PA patients were observed for 14 weeks. Role of intestinal parasites in PA etiopathogenesis was shown. Parasitological diagnosis is recommended for all PA patients and if parasites were detected antiparasitic therapy should be prescribed

Key words: Pityriasis alba, intestinal parasites, antiparasitic therapy
