Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is one of the most common urological diseases in older men. Surgical treatments such as transurethral resection (TUR) are the gold standard in the treatment of this pathology. This article examines the impact of TUR on the quality of life of patients, evaluates the effectiveness of this operation in the context of functional recovery and elimination of symptoms of the lower urinary tract, and analyzes possible complications and their impact on the general functioning of patients
