Resume
Rosacea is a multifactorial chronic inflammatory disease of predominantly facial skin of non-infectious nature, which is characterized by the development of erythema, telangiectasias, papules, pustules, eye damage, the formation of rhinophyma, and is prone to progression. In recent years, the term “oxidative stress” has become increasingly common in scientific medical publications, and is widely used to describe the pathogenesis of many diseases, including rosacea. Studying this system will allow us to develop new approaches to treatment and prevention of exacerbation of the disease. Taking this into account, we studied the state of glutathione S-transferase (GST) in the blood serum of patients with rosacea.
Key words: rosacea, glutathione S-transferase, erythematotelangiectatic stage of rosacea, papulopustular stage, pustular-nodular stage of rosacea.
