Resume
Social and sanitary-hygienic studies were conducted in 248 families of tuberculosis patients. Among the examined 103 (41.5%) bacillary patients with drug-sensitive forms of tuberculosis (Group 1) and 145 (58.5%) bacillary patients with drug-resistant forms of tuberculosis (Group 2). Patients were aged from 18 to 84 years. Most patients were of working age - 19-59 years - in 73.4% of patients, and 26.6% of patients were over 60 years old. The average age was 46.1±1.6% years. In terms of clinical forms, infiltrative pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is predominant - 103 (41.5%), fibrous-cavernous pulmonary TB - 29 (11.7%), disseminated pulmonary TB - 24 (9.7%) and cavernous pulmonary TB - 13 (5.2%), and in rare cases focal pulmonary TB and pleurisy TB were observed - 3 (1.2%) each, tuberculoma and cirrhotic pulmonary TB - 1 (0.4%) each. Therefore, the level of epidemiological indicators of tuberculosis among contacts depends on a number of factors, including the clinical form and the nature of bacilli excretion at the source of infection, the duration and quality of treatment, the degree of contact and its duration, the characteristics of the causative agent of tuberculosis, especially the presence of drug resistance to antibacterial drugs. In this regard, timely detection of infected individuals with DR forms of tuberculosis is of great clinical and epidemiological importance.
