Resume
This article discusses the causes of hypertrophic and keloid scars and the main problems in their treatment. It is noted that surgical removal of scar tissue often does not give satisfactory results, leading to complications such as scar regrowth and depigmentation. The use of laser technologies, in particular, carbon dioxide and yellow-band lasers, photodynamic therapy and the use of biological glue have shown the possibilities of reducing scar tissue necrosis, rapid epithelialization of the wound, and reducing the likelihood of scar regrowth. The advantages of limiting excessive growth of scar tissue in the postoperative period through the effect of infrared radiation on deep tissues are also analyzed. The proposed complex method is of great importance in increasing the effectiveness of hypertrophic scar treatment.
Key words: Hypertrophic scar, keloid, skin changes, laser therapy, photodynamic therapy, autodermoplasty, biological glue, infrared radiation.
