Resume
This article presents the results of a study aimed at evaluating the immunological role of interleukin-10 (IL-10) and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) in community-acquired complicated tonsillitis in children under 1 year of age. SSI is a severe respiratory infection that can be associated with high morbidity and mortality in young children. Uncontrolled inflammation is a crucial factor in the severity of the disease and the development of complications. This study identified quantitative changes in the blood levels of IL-10 and TNF-α in complicated and uncomplicated pharyngitis. According to the results obtained, the level of TNF-α was significantly higher in complicated pharyngitis, which indicated inflammatory activity; at the same time, a decrease in the level of IL-10 indicated the ineffectiveness of anti-inflammatory mechanisms. This is explained by a violation of the regulatory balance in the immune system. The results of this study are of great importance for understanding the mechanisms of severe pharyngitis development and serve as a scientific basis for the development of therapeutic approaches aimed at immunomodulation in the future. Keywords: community-acquired pneumonia, children under 1 year of age, interleukin-10 (IL-10), TNF-α, pro-inflammatory cytokines, childhood immunity, severe respiratory infections.
